30 years of philanthropy ~ August 2026 Celebration
Created to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Mary Kay Ash Foundation®, The Light We Carry celebrates three decades of hope, resilience, and lives transformed.
The butterfly's wings transition from purple, honoring survivors of domestic violence, to vibrant pink, representing the Foundation's commitment to advancing cancer research. Hundreds of hand-applied metallic silver dots catch the light, each symbolizing a life touched through hope, healing, and generosity.
This piece is deeply personal. As both a cancer and domestic violence survivor benefiting from services made possible through Foundation-supported organizations, I have experienced this mission firsthand. Today, as a Registered Nurse, Board Certified Nurse Coach, and artist, I am honored to use my work to celebrate the decades-long commitment of this Foundation that has changed countless lives – including my own.
My hope is that this butterfly reminds us that every act of compassion creates a ripple of hope, lifting us higher; those moments become our legacy and The Light We Carry for generations.

26th Annual Celebrating Women Luncheon 2025
Circle of Care Award presented at a sold out event
This year's Circle of Care Award was created by Kate Cruickshank - a local Dallas ink artist and cancer nurse coach. Her signature butterflies are a powerful symbol of hope, strength and transformation.
The 26th Annual Celebrating Women Luncheon took place at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in downtown Dallas. The Mary Kay Ash Foundation were presented the original ink butterfly to honor their extraordinary fundraising efforts for breast cancer research.

Hello Beautiful Movie Premier ~ December 9th, 2025
"Hello Sunshine" - Special commissioned golden butterfly
It was a privilege to create this custom original butterfly for Christine Handy, unveiled at the premiere of her film Hello Beautiful. Created as a symbol of resilience, strength, and devoted service to women facing breast cancer, the butterfly was presented by Amy Zicarelli before a sold-out audience, marking a powerful and memorable moment of recognition and hope.

To support and give back to the cancer community, I am releasing a carefully curated series of limited-edition fine art prints created from my original butterfly paintings.
Each butterfly will be offered in strictly limited quantities:
- 12 × 12 inches — Edition of 25 ~ $250 each
- 16 × 20 inches — Edition of 50 ~ $350 each
- 24 × 30 inches — Collector’s Edition of 10, each hand-embellished by the artist , hand signed and numbered. ~ $900
The inaugural release features a Burgundy Butterfly and a Sky Blue Butterfly.
All prints are sold unframed to allow collectors flexibility in presentation.
Custom framing can be arranged upon request for an additional cost.
A new butterfly will be introduced each month, available in all three sizes, while the original painting from each series will also be available for purchase.
